Three Steps to Learning From Life Experiences

For myself, experience is the learning curve of how you can traverse life the best way possible. Many possibilities can come out of life, and the best way to figure it out is to learn by experience. Sure, people can tell you what to believe in or how to live your life, but what you experience will definitely make you defy or agree with them. But the most important thing is that you have learned something. I know of people who seem to make the same mistakes twice, meaning that they have not learned from their experiences or have run away from such events in their life. Every part of your life is valuable and should be lived to the fullest, whether negative or positive. Here are ways I learned more about my own life and how I come out making my own story using my own hands.

1. Believe in Yourself

You have probably heard the phrase so many times in your life. Believe in yourself. Trust yourself better than anybody else because you know yourself better than any person, even if you are not conscious of it. The more you believe in yourself, the more you learn from experience. It might seem that when you’re depressed you’re doing everything wrong or that when you’re happy you seem to make promises. People will tell you that what you’re doing is wrong. But as long as you believe that you are doing exactly what you believe is right, you’re on the right track.

2. Cherish Every Moment You Have

Life goes only ones, and that’s for sure, I haven’t heard of anybody living again once they’re six feet under. Life is about getting to know many things and learning from all these things. Cherish every moment, whether it might be the happiest day of your life, or the most depressing one due to a loss or mistake. Learning from experience means to see through your memories, relieve the emotions that you once had living in those memories, and seeing your mistakes and knowing what you should have done. You still have a second chance, which brings me to…

3. Apply Your Learnings

The best way to learn is to do apply what you have learned for practical purposes. Life is not a mathematical equation that cannot go wrong; things will go wrong even if you thought what you were doing was right. Theory is useless in life; it is more of how you live through your experiences. List down things that you need to change about yourself based on your experiences and try to do them one step at a time. You have a whole lifetime to succeed in your list, so it’s best to concentrate on each with proper attention and concentration.
